Teens Cultural Exchange


In the first of second world war, flers don’t was touch because of there are none industries.

On The 6 and 7 june of 1944, the city of Flers was destroyed at 80 % because the allies decided to destroyed some city in normandie to stop germans.

In honor of this day, the principal street of Flers is called « la rue du 6 juin ».

June and august 1944, bombings destroyed more than 850 fleriens buldings and touch particuly the center of the town and the station


Flers was freed on the 16 august. After this war more than the half of the population doesn’t have home.

The region of flers was an active center of resistance during the second world war.


The city was finish to recount in the 60’s.
